Continental Quality Engineering - History
Continental Design & Engineering was established in 1985 in response to a need for qualified designers to assist General Motors, Guide Lamp (now Guide Corporation) with the new technology of the aerodynamic Halogen Headlamps, which replaced the old round, sealed beam headlamps. Continental grew quickly to service manufacturers in all aspect of product development and production. Several years ago Continental expanded into Quality Engineering Services with the establishment of Continental Quality Engineering.
Continental Quality Engineering (CQE) is built on a twenty five year history of Manufacturing Engineering capabilities. Continental's familiarity with the world of automotive component suppliers has enabled us to respond to the need for detecting and containing parts that do not conform to manufacturing specifications. Our engineering expertise allow us to assist our customers with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Continental Design & Engineering now has a staff of over 300 engineering and technical specialists experienced in all aspects of product development, quality and manufacturing.
Over the past two decades, Continental's experienced and stable management team has led the company through steady double-digit growth by creating a strong culture of responsive customer service. This commitment to outstanding service and their strong community involvement has been recognized by government and industry leaders in the form of local, regional and national awards and recognitions.
Continental Design & Engineering headquarters and Design & Engineering Center is located in the Flagship Industrial Complex south of Anderson at Exit 22 of Interstate. The Continental Quality Center is located a few miles from headquarters.
Continental's customers span a wide range of industries including automotive, transportation, aerospace, consumer goods and heavy industry.
